Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite DIY projects from around the web that just speak summer to us. Refreshing, cool pops of color decor ideas that are not only unique, but easy to make!

Escort Cards:  We just love this creative display of cards for a beach wedding from Martha Stewart’s Wedding. Make your escort cards look like petite chaise lounges and parasols!   “Print guest names and table numbers onto decorative paper, and then cut out rectangles and curve them into lounge chairs (pull the paper back and forth along the edge of a table while holding it taut to achieve the wave). Then arrange them in a sand-filled tray, and adorn each seat with a bright umbrella.”

2. DIY candy buffet.  This post from Emmaline Bride is one of the best DIYs for how to make candy buffets we’ve found. Although they are not necessarily summer colors, the beauty of  candy buffet is that you can make them in any color!
3. Drink Stirs:  We love these drink stir DIY from Oh Lovely Day.  Its such a cute way to add your own personal touch to your beverage bar.
4. Flower Arranging in a Mason Jar .   A great tip from Emmaline Bride: use a frog lid for perfectly proportioned arrangements.
5. Lemon Centerpieces.  Nothing says fresh and summer like lemons. Use them as your centerpiece, and voila, you have fresh pops of color as a part of your dining decor. This post from Balancing Beauty and Bedlam has some great ideas on how to incorporate lemons into your centerpieces.
